Nickie & Gareth's Dream Wedding at Ansty Hall

At the stunning Ansty Hall, Nickie and Gareth celebrated their love in style, and I had the absolute pleasure of being their DJ for the night. From the moment we had our first consultation, it was clear this was going to be a night to remember!

As the guests headed outside to take sparkler photos under a beautiful arch with their photographer Greg Thompson, I took the opportunity to set up during the room changeover. With the sun setting in the background, it was the perfect moment for the couple to capture some stunning shots. Meanwhile, my assistant and I were hard at work transforming the dancefloor area with my rustic booth and lighting setup, ensuring everything was ready for Nickie and Gareth’s entrance for their first dance.

After I started the countdown for a cake cut it was time for the first dance. Nickie and Gareth opted for our magical 'Dancing on the Cloud' add-on for their first dance. This beautiful effect is created using a combination of dry ice and water, resulting in a mesmerising low-lying fog that makes it seem as though the couple is floating on a cloud. It also doesn't set off venue fire alarms so you can be assured that nothing will ruin your special day. Their first dance to 'Still the One' was incredibly emotional. You could feel the love in the air as the couple gracefully glided through the mist.

Following this beautiful moment, the energy took a lively turn with a fun set performed by Charlie. He had everyone moving, and the bridesmaids were quick to light up the dancefloor with their energy, setting the tone for the night. It wasn’t long before the rest of the guests joined in, and from that point on, it was non-stop fun! 

As the night progressed, the party really took off as I played 80s and 90s classics. Nickie and Gareth, along with their guests, showed off some impressive moves, knowing the routines to so many of the iconic tracks. 

I made sure the magic kept flowing — quite literally! I couldn’t resist setting off the dry ice machine a few more times throughout the night, letting everyone experience the fun of dancing in the clouds. The atmosphere was electric, with the whole room singing along and dancing like there was no tomorrow.

The mix of timeless tunes and great guests made for an unforgettable night. It was truly an honour to be a part of Nickie and Gareth’s special day, helping to create memories they’ll treasure forever.
